One of Frances famous painters is Paul Cezanne. He was born on January 19, 1839. His hometown was Aix-en-procence, France. He grew up in most of Aix-en-procence and still lived in there when he became a famous painter. Paul was the youngest of his family. He had two older sisters and his mom and dad. On October 22, 1906 Paul had died, in Aix-en-procence. He died from Pneumonia at age 67. So he lived from 1839-1906. The picture to the left is a painting of himself that he painted.
Once Paul had grown up he had a family of his own, a wife and a child. He painted them some times too, but not very often. His wife was a lady named Hortense Fiquet, and his son. Cezanne tried to hide being married and having a son from his father. Later they moved to Pontoise. His father eventually found out.
